BOWELS OF THE OCEAN: Hunt Down Offerings to Feed a Eldritch Entity in this Horror Game

Bowels of the Ocean is a first-person horror adventure game produced by Blake McKinnon Productions and published on August 10 of that year, on the indie gaming platform "itch.io". In Bowels of the Ocean you control a diver who goes to an ancient temple located at the bottom of the sea, after hearing a strange voice in his dreams, indicating the location. Once there, you hear the same voice, coming out of a deep well. It requires several sacrifices to be made, and it's up to you to hunt them down to feed whoever is inside.

According to Blake, the game was produced for the game jam created by the retro horror gaming community, the Haunted PS1, titled Summer of Shivers, with the theme of "horror in the depths". It's worth remembering that Blake has already produced another great game that we've covered here, The Whitetail Incident. Bowels of the Ocean has a great retro look, with an aesthetic that pays homage to and respects the style of PS1 games, but with improvements. Gameplay is typical of several other games of the genre produced on itch.io: you move using the WASD keys, use the mouse for camera and to shoot and Shift to run (or in this case, dive faster).
