Subsurface: Expedition is a first-person adventure, shooting, and exploration game produced by RSB2000 and published on February 13 this year, on the indie gaming platform "itch.io". In the game, you control an archaeologist who, together with a team, find a network of caves called Subsurface. The interesting thing is that this network of caves does not operate under the laws of ordinary physics and that they have powers beyond comprehension. It is up to you to investigate the place, develop its secrets and escape it alive.
The game has a cool pixelated look, reminiscent of some independent games in the first person and in the same style as, for example, Locomalito's 8-bit Killer. The main characters have a certain personality, reinforced by their dubbing, in addition to their plot, which is very interesting and is based on the period of Arab nationalism (1952-1967). The soundtrack is original and fits well within the game. The gameplay is simple and is typical of many games of the genre.
If we have to point out a problem here, it would be the range of the shot in relation to the enemies. The collision works more when facing the enemy than trying to hit it from above or below and, when it happens, it is not with every enemy. It is a problem because for a lack of an adequate collision, the player ends up losing easily. It would be a great idea if it were corrected later.
