TYPOS AND BRAINS: Help the Zombie Escape from a Mansion... ...with Typing!

Typos and Brains is a short indie action, typing and horror game being produced by Nikita Vychuz and which has a demo version published on February 4th, 2021, on the itch.io platform. In the game, you control a zombie that seeks revenge against a scientific team that abandoned him in an experiment. Now you have to help him escape the place in an unconventional way: typing the names that appear on the screen.

Right away we see that Typos and Brains is clearly inspired by the famous SEGA railshooting series "The House of the Dead", more precisely the game "The Typing of the Dead", where you walk through a world full of zombies and that , to kill them, you would use the keyboard to type words, rather than weapons. Typos and Brains follows the same rhythm, but with a more low-poly look, in the old PSX style of being.

The gameplay is simple, after all, all you have to do is type the words that appear on the screen: with each correct word, the "Combo" bar below the character grows and, when you reach the maximum, you recover a small square of your health, and this sounds like a good incentive to learn to type, because if you miss a single letter, the "Combo" bar empties completely and there's a greater risk of being shot by the enemy, which is a bit of a challenge here, and that's what will remain until the final version of the game, apparently.

Typos and Brains is a very fun game, capable of teaching a little typing and still providing arcade-style gameplay. We will be waiting for the full version of this game, it will undoubtedly be very fun.
