WORD OF MOUTH STORIES (v1): Discover the Truth behind a Small Town in this Survival Horror Game

Word of Mouth Stories is a third-person survival horror game that is being produced by WaquDoo and has a demo version, titled "Vol.1" published on May 29, 2021 on the "itch.io" platform, which is slated to be released on December 21 of the same year, both on that platform and on Steam. The game does not feature an elaborate plot, but addresses a small (and scary) city from the point of view of two different characters, each with a different story to tell.

Here, right away, we see that Word of Mouth Stories drinks from the source of the most recent games in the Resident Evil series, more precisely the 4th title. You control a character with a camera look focused under the shoulders. In addition, the game also draws from the sources of horror films from the 90s, which explains very well the adoption of a visual style that resembles a VHS tape. The graphics have a small appeal to retro, with simple and functional style, in the same way that we can say in relation to its gameplay.

Perhaps some of the negative points here would be the lack of polishing in the menu (very simple) and the fact that the enemies pass through objects. But I believe that this will be fixed until December of that year, which is the day that the game will be released in full version. It is worth waiting to see.
