ZERSTÖRER: DEAD ZONE: Save Your City from Cyborgs and Menacing Aliens in this FPS Game

Zerstörer: Dead Zone is a short indie action and first person shooter that was produced by Brain Melting Games and published on November 29th of this year, on the indie gaming platform Zerstörer's story takes place in an alternate future, where a cooperation between Xtra-city scientists and an alien race called "Mortem" goes awry, while Klaus Adamopolis, a systems administrator at a small company, discovers that the Mortem actually want to use collaboration with Earth scientists and advances in bioengineering to take over the world by producing an army of cyborgs. Your objective is simple: take up arms and eliminate each of these monsters from the face of the Earth.

The little game was produced for this year's E1M1 Game Jam, an event focused on good old-fashioned Doom or Duke Nukem 3D-inspired games. Zerstörer presents a sensational retro look, with typical gameplay of the genre games and a bloodthirsty soundtrack. The idea here is the same as in Doom: you investigate a huge map, going through doors, elevators and shooting whatever comes your way to get the keys needed to open other doors and proceed to the next stage. The game has only 3 stages, with lots of action and a challenging boss at the end. Perhaps my only hitch here is that there could be more stages, in addition to balancing the music with the sound effects.
