BLANDVILLE: Find the Reasons Why Your Hometown is Abandoned in this Horror Game
Blandville is an adventure and survival horror indie game produced by MrCiastku and released on January 3rd this year, on the "itch.io" platform. In the game, you are a man who returns to Blandville, a place where you spent your childhood. When you get there, you discover that the place is completely abandoned, and you try to investigate why this happened.
The game manages to generate the sensation of tension and fear even using simple low-poly graphics for characters and objects. You are thrown in the middle of the city and it is up to you to explore the place and look for items, taking them to your car and fulfilling the objectives in a diary that you carry.
In addition, you need to enter homes or stay close to the fire to recover your temperature, because during exploration you lose temperature due to the cold climate of the city. And to complete the gameplay aspect, you will come across monsters that roam the city. They will run after you if you stare at them for a long time, be very close to them, or by the sound of their footsteps, which requires the measured use of the flashlight and running.
