Castlevania: Order of Shadows is an 8-bit homebrew Metroidvania game developed by Elvies that reimagines the famous Java game from the 2000s. Titled "Golden Belmont," this Castlevania fangame recreates the story to align with other Game Boy titles like Castlevania Legends and Resurrection.
Castlevania: Order of Shadows features great visuals and gameplay reminiscent of the franchise's 8-bit titles, but it does have some flaws, such as a freeze jump and some minor collision issues. Even so, the game is worth trying, especially with its faithful and nostalgic music, and because it's a new Castlevania title, even if not official.
