LADDER LOUIE: Work to Make Money in Construction, as Well as Stop the Greed of Corporate Baddies

Ladder Louie's Labor Laws (or simply Ladder Louie) is a short retro 2D indie action, platform and puzzle game that was produced by The Sam, HomieBoon, Ash K and natch and which was published on April 29th of this year, on the itch.io platform. In the game, you are none other than Ladder Louie, whose mission is to complete his construction before his savings run out. But that's not all, for in addition, you must survive the cruel onslaughts of Donald Deagan, a politician whose plans and policies seek to expand your wealth at the cost of ruining you financially.

Political aspects aside, the game is very well produced and fun to play. It reminds a little of the famous Lode Runner, from the NES, but with a construction aspect instead of creating holes to bury the enemies that fall into it. In terms of graphics, the game features a very simple pixel art, but it works very well here, to give it a more fun tone, which goes from the music (completely made in chiptune) to the dialogues and the cartoonish tones of the characters.

The game itself features 15 levels with certain challenges that require a bit more of you, as well as other options such as a race against time mode.
