MARKET: Work Your Last Nightshift where Nothing Strange Happens in this Psy-Horror Game
Market is an indie psychological horror game produced by Hipposcripter and published on July 21st of that year, on the indie gaming platform "itch.io". In Market, you work in the cleaning department of a supermarket that will reopen. It's the last day before the reopening, and although the sound and lighting system is failing at times, your role is to clean up and take out the trash.
The game was produced for the Pompous Trash Jam is very simple and short and can be finished in a few minutes. The visuals are pretty cool, using a found-footage VHS style that adds to the game's sinister atmosphere. The soundtrack is ambient only, with only one song being played inside the supermarket. The gameplay is simple, but a little different from other games in the genre. Here, the mouse is not only restricted to the camera, but is also used to crouch, get up and look around, in conjunction with the space bar, in addition to using the flashlight.
