OKAERI: A Girl Experiences Strange Things in Her New Home in this Horror Game

Okaeri is an indie horror game in first person produced by Chilla's Art and published on the platform "itch.io" on September 4, 2019, and updated on September 18 of the same year. You control a girl who, along with her mother, has moved into a new home. A week later, she comes home after a day at school. However, you see that your mother is not at home and, to make matters worse, you realize that strange things are happening around you.

One of the things that already impresses, right away, is the photorealistic graphics. Everything, absolutely everything, presents a degree of realism never seen before in an indie game. In addition, the minimalist design, added to these graphics, makes the game completely immersive.

The game has a similar style to the canceled Silent Hills (also known as P.T.) and consists of exploration, focusing on the narrative and the environment. You should explore all the places in the house for clues that lead to an understanding of what is actually happening. It also has a bit of psychological horror: although you spend the entire game alone, the ambiance and sound effects increase the degree of immersion, making you feel like you're being watched constantly.
