PORT VALLEY: An Adventure that Subverts the Genre's Rules (PC) GAME DOWNLOAD

Port Valley is an Adventure/Point-and-Click indie game where actions happen at the click of a mouse button. However, the game subverts this genre, adding nonsense humor and even changing the gameplay at certain points in the plot.

Here, you see Election's Day from the point of view of three main characters. The key here is "perspective": every character has your worldview about what happens in this city (Politics, Revenge, Conspirations, and... Banana Balloons!?), which can have an influence on the plot, making it bigger and complex.

We can see, right away, that the game certainly had inspirations from the EarthBound/Mother franchise, beginning with the visual: It's impossible playing this and, in some moments not think about the resemblance that game has (There are even some pop culture references here, but I strongly recommend that you play the game, it's amazing).

On the gameplay aspect, the Mouse controls everything here: looking up, picking and combining items, talking with NPCs, etc, etc, etc. It's your typical Point-and-Click gameplay. The puzzles are very good, although been modified to fit the game demo version. The music is so cool and variates from relaxing moments to... let's say, memetic themes (really, they used meme music here), but that makes sense inside the game's humor.

Port Valley is, no shadow of a doubt, an Adventure game that subverts the genre's rules, modify your gameplay style when necessary, and even does that with a smile from ear to ear. The game is planned to be released only in 2021 for PC, MAC, and Linux. Mobile versions are not available... and they not proud to speak that.

Port Valley é um jogo indie de Adventure ao bom e velho estilo Point-And-Click, onde toda a ação acontece à um simples clique de um mouse. O porém aqui é que Port Valley subverte o gênero, acrescentando um humor nonsense e até mesmo mudando a jogabilidade em certos pontos da história.

No jogo, você testemunha o período das eleições da cidade sob o ponto de vista de três personagens principais. A chave aqui é a perspectiva: cada personagem possui sua visão de mundo a respeito do que acontece nessa cidade (Políticas, Vingança, Conspirações e... Balão de Banana!?), o que pode influenciar na história, deixando ela maior e complexa.

Aqui podemos ver, de cara, que o jogo certamente teve inspirações na franquia EarthBound/Mother, a começar pelo visual: é impossível jogar e, em determinado momento não pensar na leve semelhança que esse jogo possui (Há inclusive referências à muita coisa da cultura pop, mas é recomendado que você jogue, há muita referência sensacional aqui).

No aspecto de jogabilidade, o Mouse comanda tudo aqui: você usa para olhar, pegar e combinar itens, falar com NPCs, etc, etc, etc. É nada menos que sua típica jogabilidade Point-and-Click. Os puzzles são muito bons, embora eles tenham sido modificados para se adequar à versão de demonstração do jogo. A música é bem legal e varia de momentos relaxantes a temas digamos... meméticos, por assim dizer (sério, usaram uma música de meme aqui), mas que faz sentido dentro do humor do jogo.

Port Valley é sem dúvida um Adventure que subverte as regras do gênero, modifica seu estilo de jogabilidade quando necessário e ainda faz isso com um sorriso de ponta a ponta. O jogo está previsto para sair apenas em 2021 para PC, MAC e Linux. Versões Mobile não estão disponíveis... E eles não têm orgulho de falar isso.
