PSYCHO NIGHTMARE: Find a Way to Escape an Cursed Alternate Dimension in this Survival Game

Psycho Nightmare is an adventure, shooting and survival horror game produced by Aus.Lissajous and with a demo version published on November 4, 2019, with an update received on January 19, 2020, on the indie gaming platform "". In Psycho Nightmare you control Lena, a young girl who, after leaving a burning mansion, ends up inadvertently entering an alternate dimension, ending up in a city cursed by an evil power that is at large. It's up to her to find a way to survive in this city and return to Andrey, who was also swallowed by the portal, but strangely did not end up in the same place as her.

Psycho Nightmare is a melting pot of different styles of gameplay. He manages to make action, point-and-click, walking simulator, first-person shooter and something like turn-based RPG work in perfect harmony. Maybe a little problem related to this is more when we get into the action system (or third person shooter a la Resident Evil 4, I think). In it, the crosshair is a complete mess, where you are forced to circle the camera to make the crosshair lock on the opponent. Another problem is in the battle in RPG form, where the lack of a point to guide when choosing the squares ends up forcing you to move the mouse to make the selected area darker, and this ends up bothering you at times.

In terms of graphics, the game is pretty nostalgic: it has an aesthetic that is apparently inspired by PSX games, which is pretty cool. As for the soundtrack, the songs are mostly composed of distorted ambient sounds, in addition to some muffled melodies, which is quite reminiscent of an excellent PSX survival horror, Silent Hill.

So far, Psycho Nightmare is in the development stage. The demo can be completed in an hour or more, and has two endings, which can occur depending on a choice in a specific game situation. It's worth checking out the game, which can be downloaded by clicking this link here. As for gameplay, you can check it out by clicking this link here.
