SOMNIUM: Find a Lost E-mail in a Nostalgic Computer World in this Adventure Game

Somnium is a first-person indie adventure and platform game produced by Luke Mirman and Mrpalland, and published on November 12, 2020, with an update received on June 8 of that year, on the indie gaming platform "itch.io". In the game, you'll receive, on your computer, the Somnium OS, an operating system that, according to its creators, allows a revolutionary experience, which allows you to see sounds and images in a way never seen before. You send an email, just to test, but find that the email got lost along the way. It's up to you to log into the system and venture through the strange landscapes to retrieve that email before it's lost forever.

Once again we have an extremely fun first person game here. It has a very nostalgic style and look (who has never tried Windows 98, system that clearly inspired the look of this game here?), and with strong influences on the first PlayStation console, graphically speaking. The gameplay is simple but efficient: your role here is to venture into three stages (Cyan, Yellow and Magenta), finding the lost letters and solving the problems of its inhabitants. The soundtrack part is relaxing, nostalgic and strongly matches the game.

Without a doubt, Somnium is a fun game, which presents a very nice gameplay and an amazing look. Perhaps the only downside I could find here is your playing time. It's very short and can be finished in half an hour, which is a shame as it has the potential to expand well and become a great game.
