THE ASPECT: Find the Main Objects for a Macabre Ritual in this Platform Game
The Aspect is an indie game produced by Backterria and published on March 5, 2015, and updated on July 8, 2016, on the indie gaming platform "itch.io". In The Aspect, you control a member of a sinister cult, who is late for the ritual and, to make matters worse, you are missing the main ingredients. Now you need to find them and place them on the altar, in order to perform the ritual perfectly.
The game was produced in a period of 48 hours for Fijam1 and has a very short duration, that is, The Aspect can be completed in a few minutes. The game features cool pixelated graphics and a choice of colors that at the same time simulates the Virtual Boy, a controversial handheld console from Nintendo, and presents the dark theme present in the game. The gameplay is very simple, all the action is performed only on the arrow keys. The soundtrack, although composed of only one song, is very atmospheric and combines with the atmosphere of tension that the game presents.
