The Book is an indie horror adventure game produced by none other than Max Horror, a famous YouTuber of indie horror games, and published on June 8 this year, on the gaming platform "itch.io". In The Book, you are a simple caretaker who has found a mysterious ancient book containing signs, information and rituals about an ancient evil. Curious, you read a few pages of the book, but you end up realizing that an evil manifestation has taken over the building where you work. You work with a new secretary and, worried about the situation, you investigate the building to make sure she's okay.

According to Max Horror, the game was made more for learning purposes, that is, he created The Book while learning to play with the Unreal Engine 4, so it is noticeable that the game has simple gameplay, where you just move with the WASD keys, look at the environment with the mouse, interact with the E key and use the flashlight with the F key.
