THE CATS OF ULTHAR: A Lovecraftian Horror Game about Cats, Killings and Secrets

The Cats of Ulthar is a horror/adventure indie game produced by Alessandro Capriolo and with a demo version published on July 5th of this year, on the indie gaming platform "itch.io". The game is based on a horror tale written by H.P. Lovecraft and tells the story of the city of Ulthar and its inhabitants. You, an unnamed viewer, experience the events of the tale, where you will discover how she became known for the law that prohibits the killing of cats.

The game is in the first person and its only function is just to observe the events narrated in the tale. The graphics are very well done, and the look of the characters, although cute, is also scary at times. As this is a demo, the game will probably have some changes when the final version is released.

The Cats of Ulthar is a beautiful game and presents an interesting story (and no wonder, as it is a tale created by the master of cosmic horror). We can't wait to see what the final version of this game looks like and how the story unfolds.
