THE CRASH!: Fly Across the Atlantic Ocean, Face Perilous Threats and Meet Wonderful People

The Crash! is a short indie adventure visual novel game that was produced by Love From Tom as part of a game jam, and published on January 30th of this year on the itch.io platform. In the game, you control a plane pilot who decides to cross the entire Atlantic Ocean, exploring the most diverse locations. Along the way, you will come across the most diverse situations, from facing bandits in the clouds to even helping people and tribes in the places where you land.

As stated in the paragraph above, The Crash! was produced for this year's global game jam, under the theme Duality. The game features diverse gameplay: there are times when you just interact at the bottom of the screen, where everything you do requires the use of your resources, like food and fuel, for example. In the moments of battles, you use a dice system, where you only win your opponent if the result of a die is higher than required. These situations happen during the day, and at the end of it, the gameplay switches to a first-person style, in which you must look for firewood and mushrooms to keep yourself overnight, all this with the screen slowly closing, indicating that you has little time to find resources and light a fire to keep warm. It all adds up to a pixelated and even cartoonish visual style (when in first person).

Without a doubt The Crash! presents a very different style of play, it would be interesting if this game were more worked, with new dynamics and gameplay features, in addition to a small plot that helps to better tell the game's story.
