VASTYNEX: a 2d side-scroller shoot 'em up that pays homage to classics like Thunder Force and R-Type

Vastynex is a 2d side-scroll shoot 'em up game developed by Zakichi where you play as a pilot and your spaceship in different places aiming to defeat an unknown alien. The game references and pays homage to several titles like Thunder Force, Darius, R-Type and many other classic shmup titles from the 90s.

The game has a total of 6 stages and several bosses known to fans of shoot 'em up games in a simpler sprite art that synthesizes well the familiar characters without detracting from them. In addition, the game is full of enemies, changing scenarios and weapons ranging from standard shooting to guided shots and laser guns.
