What If Outrun GB is a prototype game for the Game Boy Color developed by Rocketship Park that answers the question of what it would be like if the Game Boy had its own Outrun game. Well, the answer is here and you can now try out a game that retains the great features of the original Outrun, now on an 8-bit Nintendo handheld.
In What If Outrun GB you have an incredible prototype inspired by the original game of very high quality. The visuals are really impressive and the music is, without a doubt, the highlight of this project. It's incredible how "Splash Wave" was very well ported using the limited sound of the 8-bit handheld. In addition, the game runs very smoothly and everything seems to be made by a company that knows the handheld well.
