ALMOST HOME NOW: A Psychological Horror Experience of a Girl Walking Home Alone at Night

Almost Home Now is a short indie psychological horror adventure game that was produced by Timeberwell and published on April 28th of this year on the itch.io platform. In Almost Home Now, you control a little girl who, after a moment of relaxation in a diner, decides to return to her house, which is a few streets away from the diner. The problem is that she will go alone, on a cold night, in a completely empty neighborhood, with dangers lurking. Your goal is to go on your way, even if strange situations appear in front of you, while listening to your thoughts.

The game consists of a very simple simulator: you have to go from point A to point B. And nothing else. Almost Home Now features a controller in the good old tank style, previously used in games like the first Alone in the Dark and the first Resident Evil. But here, its only function is to walk, while the scenes are happening throughout the game. In terms of graphics, it emulates a 32-bit style that 'makes up' the settings, items and people in low-poly very well, similar to independent games like Liquidators.
