THEY SPEAK FROM THE ABYSS: Find a Way to Escape the Creatures of the Abyss in this Horror Game
They Speak from the Abyss is an indie adventure, dungeon crawler and first-person horror game being produced by TheFifthKalpa and whose demo version was published on April 25th of this year on the itch.io platform. In the game, you control a girl who, after waking up from a terrible nightmare, soon discovers that it is real, when she talks to a strange person and ends up in a cursed world, surrounded by a myriad of tortured souls. Your objective here is to find a way out of this nightmare, in any way other than the infamous baptism of blood they want to offer you.
Graphically speaking, the game is very well done, within a retro proposal. The style of the game, being a dungeon crawler, has a similar look to games of the genre, with a 3D environment added to 2D sprites, in the best style of classics such as Dungeons & Dragons: Eye of the Beholder, but without the typical gameplay of it . And speaking of gameplay, there's not much to comment: They Speak from the Abyss has a predominantly simulation behavior, where you just explore the map, interact with the residents there and look for hearts to open certain doors. Nothing more, nothing less than that.
